I am an employee of HCA and work at Lakeview Regional Medical Center. I
received damage to my home due to Katrina. I am very thankful to have
received a check from TheCareFund.net from the Alabama Hospital
Association. Every little bit helps!! Thank you so much for the kindness
and generosity!!

Good afternoon! My name is Kristi Finehout and I am the Director of
South Mississippi Regional Center's Early Intervention Program. Our
program serves children birth through three years old who have been
identified as having a disability or developmental delay. We offer
developmental services in the six southern most counties of south
Mississippi.
Today, I received a phone call from our Human Resource Director asking
me to come to his office. Upon my arrival to his office, he handed me
six checks to give to the six early intervention employees who lost
EVERYTHING in Hurricane Katrina. I was overwhelmed! Seems that lumps
develop in my throat daily, now. My eyes filled with tears. When I
asked about the source of the donation money, he told me about the
Hospital Association's efforts to help those who had lost so much.
Although I did not lose anything personally, so many who I care for did.
Words cannot express my appreciation for your generosity and concern.
Everyday I am amazed at the help we receive, in some form or fashion,
from various parts of the US and from people we do not know. The
outpouring of love and kindness has been unbelievable. It is, in part,
because of people and organizations like yours that we have hope for the
future. Your donation to these staff is a tremendous gift that will
allow them to recovery and rebuild their lives. It is also affirmation
that they are not alone.
If there is any way to share our gratitude to those who have given to
this Care Fund, please do so for us. Each of you have been a blessing
